Spokane K-12 Schools to Close After Govenor Inslee Orders

All Spokane public and private schools are shutting down at least for more than a month due to the coronavirus.

Governor Jay Inslee made the order that will close all Washington K-12 schools until April 24, beginning on Tuesday.

Dr. Bob Lutz with the Spokane Regional Health District recommended school closures in Spokane County over COVID-19 concerns earlier at a press conference.

There are no confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Spokane County right now, but health leaders are quickly moving efforts from preparing for impact toward mitigation.
