Spokane's St. Patrick's Day Parade Canceled

Organizers for the Spokane St. Patrick's Day Parade aren't going to push their luck.

At the advice of public officials, the Friendly Sons of St. Patrick organization has decided to cancel Spokane's 42nd annual St. Patrick's Day Parade this Saturday.

The move comes after Mayor Nadine Woodward and city officials urged residents to practice "social distancing" amid concerns about the coronavirus.

Meanwhile. the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament games set be played at Spokane Arena next week will be without fans.
