Mayor Woodward: No Social Gathering Limitations in Spokane Just Yet

Spokane isn't joining its western neighbors and limiting social gatherings due to concerns about the coronavirus just yet.

Mayor Nadine Woodward says there are no limitations but city officials are urging residents to practice "social distancing" at the request of public health officials.

Earlier Wednesday, Washington state governor Jay Inslee confirmed the ban of gatherings of more than 250 people in the entire Seattle metro area to combat the spread of coronavirus outbreak.

Woodward's comments are also on the heels of the NCAA releasing a statement saying it would limit attendance at college games including the men's NCAA Tournament games being played at Spokane Arena next week.
