Spokane Police investigating stabbing near North Central High School

SPOKANE, Wash. -The Spokane Police Department responded to the area of North Central High School Wednesday for reports of a male who had been stabbed. 

The male victim was located a couple blocks away and was transported to a hospital in stable condition. The victim is in his late 20s and was not a student at the high school. 

Police report that he was stabbed at a nearby location and walked through the school grounds. The victim was not overly cooperative with officers; he didn't provide an exact location for the stabbing or the circumstances surrounding it. 

District 81 security was able to access video surveillance of the area. Officers are currently following leads to see if a possible suspect can be located.
