SPOKANE, Wash. -The City of Spokane is halfway through its LimeBike rideshare pilot program and while the California-based company has found success in the Lilac City, it hasn't all been pretty.

Two LimeBike scooters were found at the bottom of the Spokane River Wednesday. While it's unclear exactly how they ended up directly under the Post Street Bridge, it appears they were thrown into the river.

The City of Spokane says it will be a while before they can retrieve the scooters because they are located in between two dams and it's extremely dangerous.

Meanwhile, the Spokane Police Department says if someone threw the scooters into the river they could face charges of Malicious Mischief. The punishment would be based on the value of the scooters.
