WALLACE, Idaho -A semi truck that crashed on I-90 Saturday morning near Wallace was caused when the driver fell asleep behind the wheel.

Idaho State Police say 56-year-old Terry Rinkes of John Day, Ore., was traveling eastbound near milepost 62 when he fell asleep and struck the center barrier.  Officers responded around 6:21 a.m.

The impact displaced the center divider in the westbound lanes, striking a Chrysler with debris driven by 23-year-old Coral Blue of Brooklyn Park, Minn.

ISP says no one was injured in the crash and all were wearing seatbelts.

The semi truck's fuel tank punctured during the crash, spilling diesel fuel onto the roadway, but ISP say the scene has been cleared.
