SPOKANE, Wash. -The City of Spokane is awaiting the arrival of Vice President Mike Pence.

Pence, who is scheduled to campaign for Republican Representative Cathy McMorris Rodgers and her race for the 5th Congressional District against Lisa Brown, will be at the Spokane Convention Center at 3 p.m.

The Secret Service is not disclosing Pence's route from the Spokane Airport to the Convention Center for safety reason. However, the Spokane Police Department will have a large presence downtown during the event.

A 20-foot 'Baby Trump Balloon' is rumored to appear at protests outside the Convention Center. The group that is bringing the prop, Backbone Campaign, is not disclosing the deployment location of the balloon due to threats they say they received online.

The Spokane Police Department says people are allowed to protest as long as they keep things peaceful.
