SPOKANE, Wash. -Spokane Police arrested a convicted felon who was involved in a home invasion robbery in the Logan neighborhood Saturday night.
Around 10 p.m., SPD responded to multiple calls for the area of 300 E Nora, including a female victim who said an unknown man entered her home, threatened her with a knife and stole property.
Police conducted searches in the area with a K-9 unit, and followed up on leads before observing signs that the woman's residence was forcibly broken into.
Officers later located the suspect, 51-year-old Kenneth Vansant, hiding a few blocks away from the victim's home, along with some of the victim's property in the vicinity.
Vansant was booked into Spokane County Jail for first-degree burglary and robbery. Vansant is a convicted felon for a previous assault charge.
