SPOKANE, Wash. -Every year, thousands of people spend their Labor at Comstock Park for the annual "Concerts in the Park". And this year, it’s the farewell season for conductor Eckart Preu. It’s his 15th season, and today he’s giving Spokane a preview for his concert season.
There’s going to be a variety of music, even some from classic films, including a fan favorite, Jurassic Park.
Today we spoke with the executive director who said this concert is for everyone, of any age!
“We say about eight, maybe ten-thousand (people) and I actually think today will be on the high end because it’s been smokey. Of course this season and last season were also smoky. And they had to cut the concert short last year, so we’re expecting to get a bit of a rebounding effect from that. So it should be great,” Jeff vom Saal said.
