POST FALLS, Idaho -A 13-month-old child is in state custody after Post Falls Police arrested a woman who was sleeping in a vehicle intoxicated.
Early Thursday morning after 3 a.m., police say a citizen called in about a "passed out female" inside a running vehicle on Greensferry Rd. and Sundance Dr.
Officers responded and discovered that the woman was intoxicated due to alcohol and Xanax. They also found a 13-month-old child sleeping in the vehicle.
The driver was arrested. According to a jail roster, the woman arrested in this incident is Amber Monti.
Attempts to reach the child's father were unsuccessful.
The baby girl was sheltered and is now in state custody. The situation is under investigation.
