Evacuation notices reduced in Buckshot fire near Mattawa

MATTAWA, Wash. -UPDATE: 5:35 am, July 20: 

The Buckshot Fire burning near Mattawa is currently at about 1000 acres and 10% containment. 

State Mobilization resource were requested by Grant County Fire District 8, including the Southeast Washington Type 3 Incident Management Team 2, was ordered overnight. The team arrived this morning to assume command of the estimated 1000 acre fire at 7:00 a.m. Additional fire line resources have been ordered and will be engaged as they arrive on-scene. The initial attack forces that worked overnight, will be replaced to get some rest.

An update is expected on this fire at around noon on Friday. 

Highway 223 from Mattawa to I-90 is closed due to the Boylston Fire. 

Level 1 evacuations remain in place for Desert Aire.
