DOUGLAS COUNTY, Wash. -Douglas County Sheriff's Office detectives arrested a 35-year-old Wenatchee woman Wednesday after in connection to the death of her 2-year-old son.
The Sheriff's Office says the arrest comes after an extensive investigation. Detectives believe Elaine A. Hurd failed to obtain necessary medical treatment for her son for a broken arm and blunt force trauma to his head, which resulted in the boy's death.
Hurd was booked into the Chelan County Regional Jail on charges of second degree manslaughter and fourth degree criminal mistreatment.
