RATHDRUM, Idaho - A 23-year-old man from the Greenacres area is in critical condition after an apparent cliff diving accident in Twin Lakes.
On Thursday around 5:15 p.m., Kootenai County Sheriff's Office received a call of a possible drowning on the Lower Twin Lakes near Rathdrum.
It was reported by witnesses that Brady Spillane was diving with friends from a cliff. After landing in the water, witnesses said Spillane didn’t come back to the surface.
Dive Rescue crews were able to locate Spillane at approximately 26 feet deep in the water and brought him to the surface, where divers and Fire crews started life-saving measures while transporting him to the boat ramp via vessel.
Spillane was then transported to Kootenai Health, where he is listed in critical condition. This investigation is ongoing.
