SPOKANE, Wash. -  Spokane firefighters were called to the area of N. River Drive for a reported water rescue. Crews arrived just after 7:45 p.m. and worked to get the woman out of the water.

Firefights say the woman, in her 20s, fell from the Washington Street bridge Tuesday night while out with friends. Firefighters report the woman fell onto rocks below and broke her wrist, then rolled from the rocks into the river.

Emergency crews were able to get the woman out of the water a short time later, and took her to a nearby hospital as a precaution.
