KOOTENAI COUNTY, Idaho -Some say it’s lazy, but many we talked to say it’s a convenience.

Residents across much of Kootenai County can now use the app “Instacart” to order groceries right from the comfort of your own couch.

The coverage area stretches across five zip codes: from Stateline, north to Rathdrum, south to Mica and back to Coeur d’Alene.

Instacart, the Uber Eats of grocery delivery, offers Safeway, Albertsons, Costco, Natural Grocers, and even Petco.

You can access Instacart online or on your phone, pick your desired groceries and then they are delivered.

Coeur d’Alene resident, Marina Otter, says the app will greatly help her.

“Between being self-employed and having a new baby on the way and everything I have going on, that would be incredible,” Otter said, “plus it would save me from walking around and buying all the stuff I don't need."

The app is available online, in the iTunes Store, and the Android Marketplace.
