SPOKANE, Wash. -The Honor Point Military and Aerospace Museum at Felts Field announced Thursday that its closing its doors for good.
Staff says the decision was made because of a lack of funding and increased rent.
The 10,000-square-foot museum moved into hangar two years ago with the intention of honoring the Inland Northwest’s 140,000 veterans by preserving military and aviation history and resurrecting memories.
The museum will remain open through the end of June. The next challenge for staff is to find a home for the 10,000 artifacts in the museum.
