Paving potholes to protect pizza pies

Potholes crop up every year in Spokane, and help could be coming from an unlikely source. But did they bite off more than they can chew?

Domino's Pizza has a new promotion called Paving For Pizza. The popular pizza place is offering to fill potholes and fix cracks and bumps in roads in order to protect precious pizza cargo in the cars of delivery drivers or hungry people with takeout orders.

"Have you ever hit a pothole and instantly cringed? We know that feeling is heightened when you're bringing home a carryout order from your local Domino's store. We don't want to lose any great-tasting pizza to a pothole, ruining a wonderful meal," said Russell Weiner, president of Domino's USA.

Want Domino's to come to the Inland Northwest? Head to PavingforPizza.com to nominate your city.

According to the website, Domino's has already fixed potholes in California, Texas and Georgia.
