Mariners' star Robinson Cano has been suspended for 80 games for violating baseball’s joint drug agreement.
Cano, a staple at second base, was set to miss an extended period anyway after he broke a bone in his hand Sunday, when he got struck by a pitch.
Cano has played at least 150 games each season since 2007. He was batting .287 with four home runs and 23 RBIs this year.
