KOOTENAI COUNTY, Idaho -A Rathdrum man charged with first-degree murder makes his second court appearance in the last week.
Last Friday, Cody Hull was officially charged with murder after a lengthy investigation by the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office into the death of a 7-month old girl.
It was a rather quick arraignment, Hull and his attorney asked for a continuance to the arraignment but the judge denied the request.
That’s when Hull entered the not guilty plea.
Facts of the case are still kept sealed by the Kootenai County Prosecutor’s Office.
According to the indictment in the case, Hull allegedly killed the seven-month-old by committing aggravated battery.
The seven-month-old died after a head injury, the indictment states.
If convicted, Hull could face life in prison or the death penalty as a maximum sentence. The least amount of time he could serve is 10 years.
