On Thursday, April 19th, at approximately 11:45 AM, a Kootenai County Sheriff’s Deputy tried to pull over a driver seen speeding in the area of W. Seltice Way near N. Pleasant View Rd. in Post Falls.
Deputies say the driver refused to pull over and a pursuit followed throughout the west side of Kootenai County. Speeds at times exceeded 100 mph during the pursuit. While the deputy was waiting for an intersection to be safe to travel through, the suspect fled on foot from the vehicle after the suspect’s car stopped working.
Post Falls Police and Idaho State Police assisted in a perimeter while a K9 tracked the suspect. At that time, a suspect was not located.
A short time later, a suspect in the case was arrested on an unrelated warrant and the investigation is continuing into the identity of the driver during the pursuit.
