Two people dead in Lewiston; Suspect in custody

Richard Carlin was taken into custody near Umatilla, Oregon. Lewiston Police Detectives are securing search warrants and coordinating with outside agencies as they continue to investigate this crime. There are no other suspects or persons of interest in this case at this time.

UPDATE 11:46 AM: 

Pasco Police Department confirm that the person of interest drove through Pasco and stopped at a Jack In The Box. The Police Department think that he left town and is heading south towards California.

ORIGINALLY:

Detectives with the Lewiston Police Department are searching for a person of interest in a double homicide that happened early Tuesday morning. 

Police found two deceased adults in a home near 6th and Preston just after 5:00 a.m. on Tuesday. A third adult victim was also found in the home with a stab wound to his back. Police say he is in serious condition at St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center. Names of the victims have not been released. 

Detectives say they are looking for 73-year-old Richard Carlin as a person of interest. Carlin's last known address is in Lewiston, but he has not yet been located. 

Detectives say he is possibly driving a red 1996 Toyota Corolla with Idaho license plate N100378.
