SPOKANE, Wash. -Friends are trying to help out after finding out that the person who was killed in the accident downtown on Saturday was one of their loved ones.
Erick Nsemgiyumva says he’s known Rambo Wilsom ever since he moved to Spokane. He says Wilsom was a refugee from Burundi and had a life here in Spokane with his three kids.
But now, the family is planning a funeral.

Spokane police say what happened was an accident on Saturday near Howard and 1st. They say the man had gotten out of the car to get in the driver’s seat to help park it, but then, the car backed up over him while he was on the sidewalk. He was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries.
