SPOKANE, Wash. -A woman who drove drunk the wrong way on I-90 in Spokane and caused a five-car crash that killed a man and injured others has been sentenced to 12 years in prison.

Carrah Goble was sentenced Friday in superior court. Goble had previously pleaded guilty to vehicular homicide and two counts of felony hit and run in the October 2015 crash. Ronald L. Morrison, 39, was ejected in the crash and later died at the hospital.

Following the collision, Troopers say Goble fled the scene on foot, was picked up by a passerby who thought Goble was in distress, and was taken to a nearby gas station to buy cigarettes.
