"It didn't give you a chance to think."

A simple trip to grocery store for Arlene Scott Sunday afternoon changed.

“It happened almost as snapping a finger,” Scott said.

She came home and was ready to unload her groceries.

When she turned around and thought she had saw a friend of hers walk, but instead it was a man.

“He had a little small piece of paper folded and he said to me 'I’m sorry but I think you may have dropped this’,” Scott said.

What happened next was something Scott says she never saw coming.

“He was grabbing the strap on my left shoulder and I started yelling at him 'get out of here, get out of here, get out of here’,” Scott said, “he by that time had got the purse and I had a broken finger."

The man she’s talking about is the guy Coeur d’Alene Police need your help finding.

Police say after the robbery, he took off heading north on 15th Street.

Police told Scott that in surveillance video he was following her around the grocery store.

“I thought he was a very honest person, he was just coming in to inquire about an apartment maybe about somebody's apartment,” she said.

Her bumps and bruises still show, but Scott is in good spirits thanks to everyone, she says, cares for her.

“My two sweet, sweet neighbors took out my groceries and put them where I said I have a freezer,” Scott said, “you never know until something like this has happened how much you are thought of."

Anyone with information on who this guy is or where he may be is urged to call Coeur d’Alene Police immediately.
