An industrial accident has killed a Caterpillar operator working along the 23100 block of S. Highway 95 in Kootenai County, about 15 miles south of Coeur d'Alene.
According to the Kootenai County Sheriff's Officer, the operator was ejected from a tractor while pushing rock down an embankment. Due to the steep terrain, the man was thrown forward and run over.
The operator has been identified as Arthur R. Brand, age 74, from Worley, Idaho.
This is still an active investigation and more information will be released when available.
