SPOKANE, Wash. -A man was arrested over the weekend for allegedly cutting the brakes on his estranged wife's car and then sending her a threatening text message.

The victim noticed something wasn't right with her vehicle and drove it to a shop before anyone was hurt.

Court documents allege Adrian J. Reyez, 32, committed felony domestic violence harassment.

Records state he texted the victim "I hope you crashed and die." Records show a mechanic told police the victim's left front brake line and the ABS sensor wire were "intentionally cut."

We spoke with one mechanic who said even cutting one brake line could lead to a horrific crash.

Reyez was released from jail on Monday. He is set to be back in court later on this month.
