COEUR D'ALENE, Idaho -A jury has found Jonathan Renfro GUILTY of murdering Coeur d'Alene Police Sergeant Greg Moore in 2015.
Moore was shot while investigating suspicious activity in the 2800 block of Wilbur Avenue on May 5, 2015. Sgt. Moore contacted a man walking in the neighborhood at around 1:20 a.m.Sgt.
Moore radioed suspect Jonathan Renfro's information to dispatch and was not heard from again. Moore later died from his injuries. Renfro's driver's license was found in Sgt. Moore's possession at the hospital.
Renfro admitted to the shooting repeatedly according to a police affidavit.
Renfro's sentencing date is unknown at this time, but the death penalty is still on the table.
