Kansas is the new No. 1 in The Associated Press college basketball poll, and the USA TODAY Coaches poll.
The Gonzaga Bulldogs (29-1) dropped from No. 1 to No. 4 in both polls after suffering their first loss of the season last Saturday night to BYU 79-71. It was the third straight year that the Cougars defeated the Zags in Spokane. The Bulldogs still received 2 first place votes in the AP poll, and 1 first place vote in the coaches poll.
The Zags head into the West Coast Conference tournament in Las Vegas as the No. 1 seed. They will face either Pacific or Pepperdine in the quarterfinals this Saturday at 7pm on ESPN2.
