SPOKANE, Wash. -Two people were seriously injured in a DUI crash Thursday night near Shadle Park and a 55-year-old woman was arrested.
At around 8:15 p.m., police and fire crews were dispatched to a two-car crash on Wellesley Ave. and Ash St.
Police determined a vehicle ran a red light and struck another vehicle.
After an extrication by the Spokane Fire Department, two people from the struck vehicle were transported to a local hospital. An official says their injuries are serious but not considered life-threatening.
Police say the driver, identified as 55-year-old Audrey Bates, was intoxicated and has been charged with two counts of vehicular assault.
