SPOKANE, Wash. -A Spokane woman's peaceful night sleeping was interrupted when she found a stranger broke into her home and began to strip naked, feet from her children's room.
There's still vomit near her back door. "He had excrement in his pants, vomit on his clothes. It took him a while to undo the laces on his sneakers but he stayed right there and completely stripped in front of me," she said.
The West Central woman didn't want to show her face on camera out of fear that the man who came into her home, may come back. "It's scary especially for a single parent with two kids," she said.
She was sleeping with one of her boys, when her dog started barking. "There was this dark figure by the back door. He was yelling at the dog to get the dog to shut up," she said.
She quickly called 911. "He came towards me and I had a baby gate blocking my bedroom door. He couldn't figure out how to navigate the baby gate and that's where he started undressing. I asked him why he was in my house and he goes, 'I own this house, it's mine' and I said, 'No you are in the wrong house,'" she said.
She says Spokane police were at her home in a matter of 30 to 45 seconds. "The police officers came and put him to the ground and handcuffed him buck naked," she said.
She says he looked intoxicated or high because his eyes were glassy. She's not sure how he got in but she's sure on one thing. She's locking her place up like a fortress.
Her oldest son watched what happened. Her youngest son was sleeping at the time. She's not sure why this happened but says it's important that neighbors watch out for each other.
Spokane Police say that man was arrested and charged with first degree criminal trespassing. Police sent 36-year-old William J. Castro to the hospital to get treated since they say he was in a different state of mind.
