Demi Lovato Is Almost Complete With Her Comeback Album: Get The Details

Demi Lovato's comeback is shaping up to be one for the books.

As per a Friday report from TMZ, the pop star, 27, who just announced that she'll be singing the National Anthem at Super Bowl LIV, is set to drop her new album in the first half of 2020. Insiders close to the celebrity gossip outlet revealed that Lovato is close to completing the LP, which is going to touch on her 2018 near-fatal overdose, time spent in rehabilitation and her journey towards sobriety. Tour plans are also "very possible" but the logistics have yet to be locked down.

In addition to the NFL gig, Lovato is also set to make her comeback performance at the 2020 Grammys. On Tuesday, the Recording Academy announced the pop star as the latest performer for the event, which will air live on January 26 on CBS at 8 PM ET/5 PM. "I told you the next time you’d hear from me I’d be singing," she captioned a promo image of her on a couch. The caption was in reference to a cryptic post that she shared in early December. This will mark Lovato's first performance since her overdose.

"You know what’s great about making an album? You get to say anything you want, be as open and honest as possible and finally tell your side of the story regardless of who might not like it," Lovato previously teased via an Instagram Story of her project.
