SPOKANE VALLEY, Wash. -A Spokane Valley woman says she was caught in the midst of a terrifying road rage situation earlier this week and she's worried it will happen again.

It started at the Spokane Valley Walmart parking lot. She came to the Jack in the Box and the road rage driver stopped at the McDonald's parking lot, where things escalated.

The Spokane Valley woman didn't want to show her face on camera or use her name after what happened to her and her boyfriend but the road rage driver had told her, "You better run, I'm going to kill you."

She said it was terrifying. "The guy really starts to follow us aggressively and we are trying to turn left into the parking lot to get to the Jack in the Box when he turns really dangerously around us, and also tried to cut in front of us. You can't really describe the kind of terror that kind of creates in you because you are worried about the people in front of you-- lives too because if this guy behind you hits you into a group of kids eating outside at a sandwich shop, I'm never going to be able to sleep at night," she said.

She had noticed the man she bumped into inside Walmart was following them on the road and wouldn't stop. "It seemed to be like he had just left and then while we were in the Jack in the Box drive thru, I noticed the guy actually pulled into the McDonald's across the street," she said.

She got out of her car to snap a picture of his car and license plate while he was inside McDonald's. While she was on the phone with 911, he came out and threatened her. "I don't know if we will see him again. I will definitely be looking over my shoulder everywhere I go and not feeling safe. I don't think he will stop doing this," she said. She says from now on, she'll be reporting reckless driving anytime she sees it.

Officers say if you are a victim of road rage or reckless driving:

  -call 911

-give as much detail about the direction of travel, type of vehicle, including a description of the driver

-drive to a populated area like a police station or a fire department

-above all, don't engage with the person
