(AP) — A homeless man picked the wrong place to catch some "Z's" -- the back seat of a police car. Authorities in Portland, Oregon, say Ruben James Turner III accidentally locked himself in the squad car. There are no door handles in the rear of police cars, where suspects are placed. Sgt. Pete Simpson says the car had been mistakenly left unlocked. It was in a precinct parking lot that isn't staffed 24 hours. Turner had written "Help" on a fogged window. But help wouldn't come until the morning. Police say some foam padding had been ripped from the interior but nothing was stolen. Turner now faces several charges, including criminal mischief.
