Most people say Yelp is one of the most trustworthy sites to read reviews. A survey conducted by Nielsen finds that almost 80 percent of consumers look to sources online to help them make decisions about where to eat and drink and what to buy. Yelp was named the most trusted, most influential and the best quality. For travel planning, TripAdvisor ranked most popular and for hiring services, Angie's List provided the most trusted reviews. Respondents were least likely to check out sites like CitySearch and YP, and city-based review companies like Zagat and OpenTable have yet to reach the radars of many.
