Three-Quarters Of Adults Don't Express Appreciation For Past Teachers
Today would be a good day to say thank you to a former teacher. May 7th is National Teacher Appreciation Day. About 75 percent of American adults say that haven't taken the time to remember the educators who made an impact on their lives, according to a poll taken by Kars4Kids.com. But it's not that they aren't appreciative -- 80 percent of adults said they have been inspired by the work ethic and community values shown to them by teachers in their youth. Seventy-eight percent said they've had an experience with a teach outside the classroom that enhanced their learning. Three-quarters of respondents also said they hope their own children have the same positive experience from the teachers in their schools.
