Most parents are looking forward to treating themselves to a little luxury after sending their kids to college.  A survey by RetailMeNot.com shows nearly three in four parents are looking to spend some money on themselves once they become empty nesters.  Nearly half of them expect to travel more.  More than a third look forward to spending time with friends.  About the same amount of people are looking to pamper themselves with trips to the spa, manicures and the like.

Men were more likely to buy material items like a TV or a car.  Women were more likely to look for opportunities to pamper themselves or spend more time with friends.
