>>Mariners Maul Astros

If it were not for Houston, Seattle would be in last place.  So I am not sure what to make of this sweep or a six game winning stream or Nick Franklin's LARGE helmet on his little body.  Little officer Franklin blasted a grand slam to pace the Mariners to a 12-5 win over the Astros in Houston.  Franklin's first career salami. Dustin Ackley was 3-for-4 with two RBI and a run scored for Seattle, which has won six straight.  Michael Saunders scored twice and knock in two runs in the win.  Felix Hernandez struck out seven in six innings of shutout ball as he moved to 11-and-4.

>>Mariners Hosting Cleveland

The Mariners hope to continue their winning ways on Monday when they start a series with the Cleveland Indians.  Seattle is 46-and-52 and sends Aaron Harang to the mound to start the first game of the series tonight at Safeco Field.  Cleveland swept four games from the Mariners in Ohio in May.

>>Indians fall to Hops

Spoane lost 6-5 to Hillsboro last night after winning Saturday to get their first win in Hillsboro.  The Indians will wrap up the 5 game series to the Hops tonight and return home for a quick home stand against Vancouver. Spokane is 4 games back as the first half of the season wraps up today.

>>Seahawks Camp To Open

The Seahawks are set to start training camp on Wednesday at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center.  Both veterans and rookies must report by that day.  The first practice is Thursday for a team widely viewed as a Super Bowl contender.
